The heart and soul of a spinster heart

My family is really the heart and soul of my life. "What family does a spinster have?" you might ask. I was fortunate to be born into a terrific family. My parents are experienced, wise and quirky enough to be a lot of fun. My siblings, of which there are seven, are also quite quirkalicious, and it's always interesting to spend time with them. So even though I'm a crusty old spinster, being around my fam whenever I can livens up my dreary days.

My brother Duane is a hard-working, caring, all-around fabulous veterinarian in Mesa, AZ. Click here to visit his web site: www.homesteadanimalclinic.com.

Christmas

I wasn't able to go home to see my family for Christmas, so my family (well, some of them) came to Seattle to see me. I was thankful I didn't have to spend the holiday all alone.

Ally and Shawn
I'm officially the last of the spinsters in my family now. My older sister Ally found the man of her dreams, and they decided to get married. Here are some of the pictures from the festivities.

Johno
Johno's home! Johno's home! My baby brother returned from his mission in Mexico. He's always a lot of fun to be around, so I'm really glad he's back. I'm trying to get him to move to Seattle to live with me, but he's not playing along. Sigh. Here are a few pictures from his homecoming.

Kirsten's Wedding
One of the best experiences I've had recently was attending my baby sister's wedding. We had planned on buying a house together and spending our spinsterhood in each others' excellent company, but a certain young (and he is young) man showed up and spoiled those plans. But don't worry; I may be crusty, but I don't harbor bad feelings at all. In fact, I'm quite pleased with the decision my sis made. You can see pictures of her wedding right here.
